Contract Manager |
- Take responsibility for specific Engineers running their own projects as a further tier of management. The responsibilities when taking on this role are to ensure that a contract is fully staffed to meet the requirements of the contract.
- To monitor the progress and quality of the works, to ensure that the client’s requirements are being met
- To be the Company’s senior representative for their contracts and have the authority to make decisions on behalf of the Company and accept responsibility for that matters affecting the contract (unless Company Policy is involved)
- Responsible for the overall administration, control, programming and progress of any contract. Supported by appropriate technical and administrative staff to enable them to fulfil their duties efficiently
- Attendance at meetings on behalf of the Company, implementation of procedures for the flow of information, monitoring of programmes and in conjunction with other members of the team, the requisition of plant and materials for the works
- Responsible for periodically evaluating sub sub-contractor performance
- Assist in planning all work in accordance with Company Policies and ensure that working methods are regularly examined to establish if improvements or modifications should be made. Have knowledge, where relevant, of the requirements of Regulations and other relevant legislation
- Responsible for the Labour Resource requirement for all projects. This is done in conjunction with the National Electrical Contracts Director and Contract Engineers / Managers
- Ensure that site labour times and any bonus payments are monitored
- Provide support to contract teams
- Work closely with colleagues in other departments
