Commercial Manager
Leading Office Fit-Out & Refurbishment Contractor
Salary: £125,000 – £175,000 + Package
A well-established and growing UK interior fit-out and refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead its commercial function during a significant phase of expansion.
The business operates primarily within the commercial workplace sector, alongside education, healthcare and public sector projects. With current turnover of £70m and forecast growth to £110m next year, the company has a strong pipeline of secured work across London and the South East.
The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take overall responsibility for commercial performance, profitability and risk management across a portfolio of CAT A & CAT B fit-out and refurbishment projects.
This is a strategic leadership position overseeing multiple projects and managing a team of commercial professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy across multiple live projects
- Oversee cost planning, procurement and subcontract management
- Drive margin improvement and financial performance
- Manage contractual risk and dispute resolution (JCT)
- Support pre-construction, pricing and bid processes
- Mentor and develop commercial teams
- Provide accurate financial reporting at board level
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior commercial role within fit-out or interior refurbishment
- Strong contractual knowledge, particularly JCT forms
- Track record of managing multiple projects concurrently
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Experience delivering London-based commercial office schemes preferred
