Client: My client have been trading for almost 40 years and have a very strong client base. Much of their work is design and build office, restaurant and high end residential fit out. Other work includes traditional tender and build projects.
They have a bullet proof bank sheet, own their own offices and a sensible, but ambitions view on growth of the business, the company now turnover in excess of £10m. Within the office there is a real family feel with the directors leading from the front by being in the office and out on site.
Having recently a secured a number of projects they are now looking to recruit for their operations team.
Role: Electrical Design Engineer - £50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus
Working closely with our clients, our existing lively and motivated office team, subcontractors, and suppliers and our Contracts Directors, he / she as an Electrical Design Engineer, will play a key role in delivering high quality design and build projects. We are looking for someone who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of our wider team, with a proactive approach and an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
· Producing electrical designs and calculations for LTA packs across a range of design and build commercial projects
· Completing Designer’s Risk Assessments to support compliance and safety Preparing load analysis sheets, cable calculations, schematics, and associated documentation
· Creating high quality designs using AutoCAD, with additional support tools such as Amtech, Dialux, and Relux
· Assisting Project Managers with ‘as built’ drawings and project documentation
· Conducting site surveys, validations, and producing accurate reports
· Participating in design team meetings and client facing sessions
The ideal candidate:
· Have 3 years experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
· Ability to take ownership of projects and lead teams
· Ability to oversee multiple jobs at any one time
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Client facing skills.
