Role: BIM Manager - £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits
The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing BIM and digital engineering delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects within the Places and Communities sector. The role ensures alignment with ISO 19650 standards, drives the adoption of innovative digital practices, and supports the seamless integration of BIM processes throughout all RIBA stages.
Project deliverables will be developed in line with specific client and project requirements, ranging from construction coordination and asset information models through to facilities management and operational handover documentation.
Role/Responsibilities:
· Produce and develop discipline-specific BIM models and coordinated design deliverables from RIBA Stage 2 to 5.
· Ensure design intent is accurately represented in BIM models and drawings.
· Ensure compliance with Employer’s Information Requirements (EIRs), BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Asset Information requirements (AIR), and ISO 19650.
· Manage model clash detection, geometric and data validation, and structured information outputs.
· Facilitate coordination workshops and support early-stage contractor engagement on digital delivery.
· Works closely with the Design and Engineering team, engages with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
· Operates across design, project delivery support, and stakeholder coordination functions supporting estimating, commercial, planning and project delivery.
The ideal candidate:
· Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and CDE platforms.
· Knowledge of ISO 19650, COBie, IFC, and BS 1192 standards.
· Familiarity with scripting (Dynamo) desirable but not essential.
· Minimum 3 years in BIM/ CAD management roles.
· Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
· Certification in BIM (e.g. BSI, BRE) and AutoCAD highly desirable.
· Working towards professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE, CIOB, ICE).
