The Role

This is an opportunity for an M&E Project Manager to join one of the UK’s leading Contractors who operate in multiple sectors from Hyperscale Data Centres, Commercial, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, Education and many more. This opportunity is perfect for someone looking to expand their skills and take a unique step forward within this highly successful £400M UK based Contractor.

Roles & Responsibilites

• Direct and manage project development from start to finish, having responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the project.
• Liaise with the main contractor, sub-contractors, suppliers and the client
• Plan the utilisation of resources, both available and required
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion.
• Manage procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant
• Co-ordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project according to plan.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, track project milestones and deliverables. Troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and develop contingency plans.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary, obtaining client approval as necessary.
• Client liaison & relationship building
• Prepare & update cost control sheets on a weekly basis
• Prepare & issue progress report

Ideal Candidate 

• A degree, HND, HNC or other relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or significant relevant experience in either discipline is ideal
• Experience in a management position or looking to step into one after a steady duration in current role.
• Worked and led projects from £5M+ MEP value minimum
