Maintenance & Facilities Manager – Luxury Retail Estate
London HQ (with UK travel)
Permanent - £80,000 - £95,000 DOE
About the Role
We are working with a world-renowned luxury retail group – a brand celebrated for craftsmanship, heritage and excellence. Their UK portfolio spans flagship stores, offices, and warehouse facilities, and every space must operate flawlessly to reflect the brand’s reputation. As Maintenance & Facilities Manager, you’ll be the person who makes this possible. From keeping systems running smoothly to supporting new store openings and refurbishments, this role sits at the heart of ensuring an exceptional customer and employee experience. This is not a back-office role. You’ll be visible, proactive, and directly connected to both the real estate team and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the UK estate.
- Manage a wide range of systems – HVAC, lighting, lifts, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, cleaning, pest control and more.
- Drive Health & Safety compliance: risk assessments, audits, training and statutory testing.
- Take ownership of budgets and asset tracking, reporting directly into senior management.
- Manage and review contractors, leading tendering and negotiations to ensure the best outcomes.
- Provide technical input into refurbishments and new store openings, coordinating snagging and handover.
- Oversee minor renovations and back-of-house works to support store operations.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in Facilities & Maintenance Management – ideally within luxury retail or premium retail environments.
- 5+ years’ experience in FM or maintenance leadership
- Retail or luxury retail background strongly preferred – you understand the standards required in these environments
- Candidates from direct retail/FM roles are preferred, but we will also consider those from third-party FM providers if they can demonstrate the right exposure
- NEBOSH (or equivalent) H&S qualification
- Strong technical knowledge of building services and utilities
- Experience with budgets, contractors, and compliance
- A natural communicator – able to work with senior leadership, project teams, and retail staff
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Flexible and willing to travel across the UK as required
Why This Role?
- Join a globally respected luxury brand where excellence is the standard
- Work across a diverse estate – from flagship stores to offices and warehouses
- Take on a role with both operational responsibility and strategic influence
- Be part of a team where your work is highly visible and valued
💬 If you’re ready to bring your facilities expertise into the world of luxury retail – ensuring every store looks and performs at its very best – we’d love to hear from you.
