Major Projects - £50m to £100m | MoJ, Education, Leisure & Commercial

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our Birmingham / Stoke team, working on complex projects in the £50m–£100m range across the Ministry of Justice, education, leisure, and commercial sectors. With involvement in both bids and live project delivery, this is a chance to shape high-profile schemes that have real impact.

The Role

As Senior Planner, you will be a pivotal part of the project lifecycle – from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring programmes are robust, integrated, and delivered to the highest standards. You will provide strategic and technical planning expertise that drives success across design, procurement, and construction.

Key responsibilities include:

·      Developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes across multiple phases

·      Preparing tender programmes, method statements, and presenting to clients with confidence

·      Integrating design, procurement, and construction elements into fully coordinated plans

·      Advising on change management and Extension of Time (EOT) implications

·      Preparing and analysing schedules for time-related preliminaries

·      Tracking performance and progress to maintain delivery certainty

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Planner or Senior Planner who thrives on delivering large, complex construction projects. You will bring:

·      Proven planning expertise on major projects (£50m+) across sectors such as MoJ, education, leisure, or commercial

·      Strong technical skills with ASTA (or equivalent) and a detail-driven approach

·      Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels

·      A collaborative mindset and the ability to integrate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams

·      Experience in both pre-construction/bid support and live delivery
