A opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Services Manager to take the lead on the delivery of a high-profile 200+ unit residential development in West London. The project, with an MEP value of around £14 million, is already well into construction and progressing toward completion in early 2027. There is already future projects for you to go onto after completion.
You’ll be joining an established project team, managing a reputable M&E subcontractor known for their quality and reliability, ensuring the successful coordination, installation, and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems. Supporting you on site will be an Assistant Building Services Manager, allowing you to focus on leadership, technical oversight, and strategic delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the on-site delivery of all MEP works, ensuring safety, quality, and programme compliance.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the M&E contractor and other specialist subcontractors, maintaining clear communication and progress tracking.
- Oversee technical reviews, approvals, and inspections, ensuring works align with specification and design intent.
- Provide guidance and direction to the Assistant Building Services Manager, supporting their development and performance.
- Collaborate closely with the project, design, and commercial teams to drive integration across all disciplines.
- Contribute to value engineering, risk management, and commissioning planning.
- Ensure smooth client engagement, system sign-off, and successful handover.
About You
- Strong track record managing MEP delivery on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
- Excellent technical knowledge of building services systems and installation sequencing.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coordinate teams effectively.
- Commercially aware, organised, and confident managing subcontractor performance.
- Collaborative, solution-focused, and able to maintain composure in a fast-paced delivery environment.
