Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - Heathrow Airport

£80,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Package

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate MEP engineering across all project phases (design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover).
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Manage interfaces with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Provide technical input in tendering, procurement, and value engineering.
• Conduct thorough reviews of design information for coordination and carbon/energy compliance.
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies and digital productivity assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to net zero carbon targets.

📚 Required Experience and Competencies:

🔹 Technical & Engineering:

• Deep knowledge of building services systems and frameworks (design to commissioning).
• Strong understanding of prefabrication, commissioning, digital tools, and quality processes.
• Experience in projects valued at £25M+ MEP.

🔹 Project Delivery:

• Skilled in planning, sequencing, and delivery coordination.
• Good grasp of commercial and contractual principles related to MEP.

🔹 Leadership & Communication:

• Demonstrated team leadership under pressure.
• Strong stakeholder and team management skills.
• Strategic, inclusive, adaptable, and quality-driven mindset.

🔹 Qualifications:

• Engineering apprenticeship or formal training (HNC, HND, Degree).
• SMSTS and CSCS card.
• Chartered/Professional affiliation preferred (e.g., CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE).
