HSQE Lead
Salary: £90k/year - £100k/year Permanent London

Reporting to the UK Regional Director, as the UK QEHS Lead for Electrical & Mechanical services you are responsible for providing direction and leadership for QEHS matters & management systems across the UK region of operations and group operations carried out in the UK, through the integration and overseeing of compliant QEHS systems, requirements and resources that will ensure quality, environmental sustainability and workplace health and safety compliance in line with requirements. Based out of the London office the role will require project visits, as required onsite duration support & regional travel visits.

 

  • Act as the UK lead for HSQE, promoting a “right first time” and incident free culture
  • Oversee and implement HSQE systems in line with ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001
  • Lead, manage and coordinate HSQE activities across regional teams and supply chain partners
  • Support tender submissions and act as the HSQE point of contact for bids and client engagement
  • Drive continuous improvement across quality, environmental and safety performance
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across projects
  • Lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented
  • Manage and coordinate the regional HSQE team and as required support from group HSQE management.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations including CDM requirements
  • Provide reporting and performance analysis to senior leadership
  • Support wider group operations on UK based projects including data centres and life sciences

 

As the UK QEHS Manager you will:

  • Oversee and direct the overall QEHS requirements for the UK as well as QEHS management systems including compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 and other UK specific standard / certification / accreditation as relevant.
  • Proven experience in a senior HSQE role within construction or building services (MEP preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and UK HSE regulations
  • Experience managing HSQE teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive cultural change and continuous improvements
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Use your ability and aptitude to interpret stakeholder requirements and implement necessary processes.
  • Apply strategic, methodical and logical approaches to work have strong communication skills communicate professionally in both verbal and written context to all stakeholders.
