Client: Over the past 40 years our client has established itself as an industry leading multi-discipline services contractor operating within the UK.

With a turnover in excess of £100M they undertake projects in a variety of fields including Pharmaceutical, Commercial Offices, Data centres, Residential and public sectors. Having earned a reputable name within the industry they benefit from a large amount of repeat business, with blue chip clients including: ISg, , Kier, Mace, and Lend Lease etc. Projects range from £1M to £40M, consisting of fit out, new build, major project and infrastructure works.

Electrical Construction Manager - £70,000 - £80,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Package - Based in Surrey

Based in Surrey the successful candidate will be reporting into the Senior Project Manager. They will have an emphasis on delivery and coordination of the electrical services. Assisting in the refurbishment of a landmark pharmaceutical building (Project size circa £200M .) The project consists of the refurbishment of 5 buildings, consisting of laboratory and office space on a leading science campus. As a project engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a section of the project or package on the project. Key responsibilities

• Be familiar with the Safety and Health Regulations and company policy applicable to the work on which you are engaged and insist that the prescribed standards are observed at all times.

• Ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that safe systems of work are in place. Coordinate preparation of Method Statement and Risk Assessment as required.

• Ensure site is tidy at all times and arrange for regular clean-up periods. Appoint person responsible. Insist that all persons on site, employees, sub-contractors, self employed visitors wear correct PPE

• Monitor safe work practices on site including personnel’s use of full PPE as required, correct use of podium steps/scaffolds, correct usage and management of the businesses materials on site, i.e. ensuring there is minimum waste • Ensure that adequate access and egress throughout the site comply with the regulations.

• Provide safety equipment/clothing, ensure its proper use by all personnel on site.

• Supervise all on-site personnel – specialist sub-contract, agency and direct employees.

• Carry out safety adits on site as and when required and ensure items identified for addressing are actioned and closed out.

• Co-ordination of installation.

• Be fully familiar with the agreed project programme including all handover dates, power on dates, milestones and critical paths in the programme • Co-ordination of plant movement and plant records, and keeping log records up to date and accurate and reporting plant issues.

• Co-ordination of delivery of materials to site, when required, including checking quantity and quality of deliveries and taking full responsibility for same.

• Liaison with clients, main contractors and other trades personnel as and when required.

• Comply with businesses Quality, Safety and Environmental Systems including monitoring and maintaining site documentation.

• Comply with businesses Policies and Procedures throughout day to day working.

• Plan labour and material requirements at least two weeks in advance, ensuring adequate stocks/materials are available on site at all times. The ideal candidate: • Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical/Electrical services.

• Experience working in the commercial sector

• Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline

• A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
