Electrical Construction Manager – Data Centre

Pay Rate: £350 - £400 per day

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a £180M data centre project. The scheme comprises two floors of data halls, a ground-floor plant room and associated mission-critical infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a major hyperscale/colocation project from installation through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all electrical construction activities on site.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
• Oversee installation of critical electrical systems including HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, containment, cabling and earthing.
• Drive construction progress and coordinate interfaces with CSA, mechanical and commissioning teams.
• Monitor quality, inspections, testing and system completions.
• Support commissioning, energisation, integrated systems testing (IST) and project handover.
• Attend and lead progress, coordination and client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, CDM and project-specific standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on large-scale construction projects.
• Data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and commissioning processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and delivering complex MEP packages.
• SMSTS and CSCS Manager Card desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
