With a growing turnover and a healthy order book for the year they are seeking a contract Construction Manager to support one of their flagship commercial projects.

Position: Construction Manager – Day Rate £300.00 Per Day – Immediate Start - Central London

Role:

Working as part of a large site-based construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural works, including steelwork, CLT, Façade and Curtain Wall glazing. The project is the cut and carve of a £40M Commercial Office in Central London. In this position you will be reporting to the Project Director

Key Responsibilities:

·      Oversee all on-site construction activities for the commercial office refurbishment, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

·      Plan, coordinate, and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain efficient workflow and sequencing of trades.

·      Ensure full compliance with UK health and safety regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements, and promote a strong safety culture on site.

·      Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of design intent.

·      Manage quality control procedures, ensuring all works meet required standards, building regulations, and client expectations.

·      Liaise regularly with clients, architects, consultants, and stakeholders, providing progress updates and resolving any issues.

·      Coordinate site logistics in a constrained urban environment, including deliveries, access, waste management, and neighbour considerations.

·      Lead site teams, providing direction, resolving conflicts, and maintaining high morale and productivity.

Key Attributes & Experience:

·      Proven experience in a construction management role within construction

·      Must have experience working on structural elements of Commercial Projects, including an excellent understanding of Steelwork, CLT and Façade packages.

·      Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies and delivery

·      Experience managing complex, multi-phase programmes in live environments

·      Commercially aware with strong organisational skills

·      Relevant and in date qualifications (including SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent)
