⚡ Commissioning Agent – Mission Critical Projects - MUST BE LONDON BASED BUT OPEN TO EUROPEAN TRAVEL

🚀 The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Agent to join a growing team delivering mission-critical projects across Europe.

This role will focus on commissioning complex systems including power generation, distribution, UPS, HVAC, and BMS/BAS systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are installed, tested, and handed over to the highest standards.

This is a remote-based role with significant travel to client sites for project delivery, training, and stakeholder engagement.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

  • Perform design reviews of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Develop and oversee startup & commissioning procedures
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections of equipment installations
  • Carry out construction observations and create functional test plans
  • Execute commissioning tests across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Support training of operations & maintenance teams
  • Act as liaison with vendors and subcontractors for issue resolution
  • Analyse data and produce technical commissioning reports
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and project teams
  • Support delivery of projects to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets

🎓 Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years’ experience in electrical power distribution, mechanical systems, or both
  • Background in commissioning mission-critical systems
  • Experience with generators, UPS, HVAC, and power conditioning equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
  • Experience using test equipment such as:
  • AC/DC amp probe
  • Digital voltmeter
  • Phase rotation meter
  • Battery conductance/load testers
  • Micro-ohm meter
  • Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

📚 Additional Requirements

  • Degree, AA, military training, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years in commissioning roles
  • Familiarity with BCA, PECI, and/or ASHRAE commissioning procedures
  • Experience in data centres, hospitals, biotech, or energy projects (preferred)
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) a passport
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%

Salary £70k - £85K Plus Credit card for all Company expenses
