London & European Projects | Up to £120,000 + Bonus + Package
A rapidly growing construction business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of major projects across the UK and Europe.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued expansion into mainland Europe, this is an opportunity to join an ambitious organisation delivering complex construction projects for high-profile clients across a range of sectors.
The role will be predominantly based in London, with approximately one week per month spent visiting projects across Europe.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will take full commercial responsibility for several projects valued between £5m–£15m, or a larger flagship project in the region of £40m.
You will play a key role in protecting commercial performance, managing risk, and supporting successful project delivery from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of multiple live projects
- Contract administration and subcontractor management
- Procurement and package management
- Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Variations, change control and commercial negotiations
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Final account agreement and project close-out
- Stakeholder management across clients, consultants and delivery teams
About You
- Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor position
- Background working for a main contractor or major specialist contractor
- Experience delivering projects valued from £5m to £40m+
- Strong contractual and commercial knowledge
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced project environment
- Willingness to undertake occasional European travel
