Senior Quantity Surveyor

A growing Tier 2 main contractor with a turnover of circa £100m is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London team.

The business specialises in delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically ranging from £1m to £35m across London. Their projects include Cat A, Cat A+ and Cat B office fit-outs, working closely with clients to deliver fully integrated design and build solutions.

With a strong reputation in the market and a high level of repeat business, the company continues to expand and is looking to strengthen its commercial team with a capable Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership of projects and play a key role in their successful delivery.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account. You will work closely with project managers, site teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project costs from pre-construction through to completion
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial risk management
• Managing variations and change control
• Preparing valuations and final accounts
• Building strong relationships with project teams, consultants and clients

Projects

You will work across a range of commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £1m and £35m, across Central London.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
• Experience delivering commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects
• Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
