The Opportunity

Are you an ambitious Mechanical Project Manager looking to take the next step in your career?

We`re representing a growing MEP contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across commercial fit out and refurbishment projects throughout London and the South East.

With a sweet spot of £1m–£2m M&E packages, and projects ranging up to £5m, you`ll take ownership of multiple schemes across commercial offices, education, government and public sector environments.

The business has built long-standing relationships with leading contractors on government frameworks delivering refurbishment and fit out projects within schools, courts, public buildings and other occupied environments.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you`ll be responsible for delivering mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover.

Working closely with clients, consultants and the wider delivery team, you`ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple mechanical fit out and refurbishment projects.
• Coordinating design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitoring project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
• Working collaboratively alongside electrical delivery teams.
• Building strong relationships with clients and framework partners.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely within live and occupied environments.
• Leading projects through to successful handover and client satisfaction.

The Candidate

We`re looking to speak with individuals who have:

• Experience delivering mechanical building services projects.
• A background within commercial fit out and refurbishment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ambition to continue developing into a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
• Experience working for an M&E contractor or specialist building services business.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple live projects.
