Client: Having been established for over three quarters of a century our client is recognised as a market leading mechanical and electrical contractor throughout London and southeast. With a specialism in commercial office and datacentres projects, they also work in public, retail, health, education, leisure, residential and pharmaceutical sectors. Their experience ranges from small work contracts circa £500k to major projects in excess of £40M. In addition to their London business unit, they have an extensive international division.
Key to their success is the development of good working relationships with their clients. As a result, they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. Their client base includes main contractors such as: Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine, Bovis and McLaren.
You will managing the free issue plant and kit from the client. This will involve liaising with all supplier and manufactures providing Switchgear, Generators, UPS systems, Cooling Equipment etc. You will be responsible for making sure that the project is completed, on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client and all stakeholders. This will involve design, coordination, programming, logistics, management of the installation, and commissioning.

Hyperscale Data Centre - 400MW - Heathrow
This is a true cradle to grave opportunity - the project will consist of PCSA stage then another 12 months of preconstruction before delivery starts Q2 2028. As the Project Manager you will need to be fully astute with leading full preconstruction of major services on large projects, ideally with Data Centre experience or another mission critical sector.
You will come from an electrical background and will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities in the field, managing, and coordinating the flow of information and dealing with issues arising from progress, quality, and safety.
The successful candidate will be client facing with strong communication and organisational skills.
Electrical Project Manager - £95,000 - £115,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus
Responsibilities:
• Engage with the vendors to identify project risks and ensure these risks are managed throughout the design, fabrication, and installation stages
• Producing technical submissions from vendors and/or contractors and ensure they are compliant with the client’s specifications
• Assist in preparation for meetings, chairing and recording all minutes
• Attend and monitor meetings and escalate any issues that may arise
• Assist in the change management process
• Assist the implementation of all key project processes to support the project’s delivery and monitor these processes, reporting and making recommendations to the client team
• Take regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress, report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion
• Regularly conduct site inspections and/or visits to vendors’ facilities and obtain progress and quality reports
• Monitor on and off-site works, record and resolve non-conforming work and drive the team for follow up, preventative and close out actions
• Assist raising variations in the works and of any actual or anticipated delays to the progress of the works
• Assist in the handover plan, monitor, and track the preparation of documentation
• Coordinate with the client team, consultant team and the contractor on all snagging activities, including the schedule and stakeholder engagement Desired Experience and Education
The ideal candidate:
• Experience working in a similar role on data centre and/or technical projects such as hospitals, laboratories etc.
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering and/or minimum 10 years’ trade experience
