The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join one of the UK’s most established and technically respected building services contractors. The role will focus on the delivery of complex, high-profile shell & core commercial developments across Central London, working alongside leading main contractors on landmark schemes.

This is a delivery-led role suited to a commercially astute Project Manager who thrives in structured, design-led environments and is comfortable managing large electrical packages from pre-construction through to final handover.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the electrical delivery on assigned projects, managing all technical, commercial, and operational aspects of the works.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the electrical package from post-tender appointment through procurement, delivery, commissioning, and handover
• Leading design development and coordination, liaising with consultants, main contractors, and internal design teams
• Procurement of major plant, specialist subcontractors, and long-lead equipment
• Developing and managing construction programmes using MS Project or similar planning tools
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, and specialist trade contractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme compliance
• Controlling project commercial performance, including cost management, forecasting, reporting, and variations
• Chairing internal and external project meetings
• Managing commissioning activities and ensuring a structured and professional project handover

About You

• Proven experience delivering large electrical packages within commercial new build or shell and core environments
• Strong technical understanding of electrical building services systems
• Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, variations, and financial reporting
• Confident communicator, able to manage relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of working to demanding programmes
