The Client
I am currently working with an exciting, dynamic and recently established commercial fit out contractor based in the heart of London. The business has a calculated and realistic plan for its growth. Having turned over £8.1m in its first year and £10m in it’s second, they’ll achieve £15m in year three (this year) and have a very realistic plan to achieve circa £20m next year. Their projects are a mix of end user CAT B fit outs and landlord commercial refurbishments, CAT A and CAT A+ fit outs.
Each of the directors and divisional leads have previously worked for ‘named’ fit out contractors and are putting a real conscious effort into taking positive parts from their previous employment and focusing on eradicating some of the negatives associated with fit out contracting. They have a very friendly, open and honest approach focusing on building strong relationships with everyone they work with, which has reaped rewards in a short space of time with a number of projects secured via recommendation. They also put a lot of time and effort into sourcing staff, aside from a candidate needing to have an appropriate skill set and experience, they are want to hire people with the same drive, work ethic and ‘can do’ attitude. Individuals joining the business now will become fundamental as the business growth, enabling the chance to grow with the business into more senior capacities.
They are seeking a project manager with experience delivering Cat A and Cat B office fit outs and commercial refurbishments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a 2-3 projects at various stages of their lifecycle and will be initially be based out of their office in central London and will be working in a ‘visiting’ capacity. This is a key appointment for this business, they are looking for someone who wants to join a smaller business and is keen to add value and help the company grow and develop.
