The Client 

This is an exciting opportunity for an M&E Pre-Construction Manager from a electrical engineering/electrical project management background to expand their skills and take a unique step forward in their career within this highly successful £400M UK based Contractor. This contractor is widely recognised and is an industry leader in the UK markets in sectors from Commercial, Data Centres, Healthcare & many more.

Roles & Responsibilites 

• Management of Building Services Design process to ensure deliverables are produced on schedule and within project budget.
• Oversee large-scale projects in the UK, specifically projects such as hyperscale Data Centre’s, Large Healthcare/Life Sciences & Commercial projects.
• Liaise with multiple teams to resolve design issues from an engineering perspective, oversee programmes used for design, procurement etc.
• Advise on the selection of materials and other aspects of procurement, from supplies to design management.
• Engagement with key specialist subcontractors to facilitate completion of design.
• Ensure designs are compliant with current legislation and standards.
• Engage with the commercial, design & estimating teams to brief them on the agreed scope of works for each programme.
• Engage with the client to discuss and review proposals to ensure they meet client expectations.
• Identify and action potential risks, opportunities, and hazards

Ideal Candidate 

• Experience managing M&E large-scale contracts
• Previous experience in a similar role with an engineering overview
• Experience and understanding of multi-disciplinary design processes and design coordination
• Strong understanding of the Pre-Contract tender process
• Electrically biased background is essential.
• Ideally have an electrical engineering or project management (electrically biased) background and looking to step into a senior role.
