Fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established Building Services contractor with a rich history and very strong portfolio of clients. 

Having been established over 30 years they specialise in working on projects ranging up to £5 Million in value split between direct works with end user clients and working with management contractors. 

Projects range from Commercial refurbs, Decarbonisation schemes, Education and healthcare projects. Predominantly they will be heavy refurbs of existing buildings with some new build works also. 

They are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join the already successful Estimating team to price full Mechanical packages including plumbing, HVAC, Ductwork and plant packages. 

Duties:

• Preparation of material take offs and liaison with subcontractors/suppliers to quantify requirements tenders
• Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from specialists suppliers and sub-contractors .
• Understand and verify supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliancy.
• Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard and meet the client's deadlines.
• Liaising with other members of the estimating team and contracts managers.
• Contribute to the identification of risk and pricing of risks throughout the bid.
• Carry out estimates using Estimation software.
• Undertake site visits and surveys
• Evaluate and clearly understand the details and requirements for each tender

The successful candidate will have: 

• Mechanically bias technical knowledge. Either a strong Mechnanical Trade / Engineering background or HNC / D in building services Engineering
• Estimating experience with a proven track record within the construction / building services sector.
• Adept with Estimating and winning Projects up to £5M
• Excellent understanding of commercial tendering process and procedures.
• Able to manage multiple Bids
