M&E Project Manager
Salary: £95k/year - £110k/year Permanent London

My client is an established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality M&E services across residential projects. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced M&E Project Manager to join their team on a residential project in Reading. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the successful delivery of the M&E package, working closely with the site team, client, main contractor and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of M&E across a large residential project.
  • Take ownership of the M&E package from pre construction through to handover.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors.
  • Manage project programmes, labour, materials and procurement.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, valuations and overall performance.
  • Work closely with the main contractor, client, consultants and wider project team.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Monitor progress against programme and ensure key project milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with Health & Safety, quality and compliance requirements.
  • Lead project and site meetings, providing clear updates on progress and performance.
  • Manage commissioning, testing and handover requirements.
  • Identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to maintain project delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as an M&E Project Manager within the construction or building services sector, ideally with a strong background in residential projects.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an M&E Project Manager or in a similar project delivery role.
  • Experience working on residential developments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A forward-thinking attitude with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong professional presence and the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on delivering projects safely, on time and to a high standard.
