The Role

This is an opportunity for an M&E Project Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading Contractors who operate in multiple sectors from Hyperscale Data Centres, Commercial, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, Education and many more. This opportunity is perfect for someone looking to expand their skills and take a unique step forward within this highly successful £400M UK based Contractor.

Roles & Responsibilites 

• Read, review and understand project specific specifications.
• Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant
• Explore value engineering solutions.
• Design review – ensuring the electrical or mechanical services are ‘buildable’ and align with the project specifications.
• Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.
• Coordination and management of electrical and/or mechanical subcontractors
• Instruct and coordinate supervisors.
• Progress reporting
• Overseeing commissioning and testing
• Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts overseeing, including sub-contractor accounts and variations.

Ideal Candidate

• A degree, HND, HNC or other relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or significant relevant experience in either discipline is ideal.
• Experience working on commercial projects from £3M minimum.
