Role: Electrical Project Manager - £325 - £350 per day
Seeking an Electrical biased Project Manager from a contracting background, with a strong commercial grasp on the scheme, you will be responsible for managing the project from cradle to grave and report directly to the client.
Client: They are a growing business, part of a larger specialist mechanical contractor and their focus has always been on providing complete renewable works in the building services for commercial and industrial applications. They will be acting as the principle contractor for the deployment of renewable technologies to supply the heating and cooling requirements and minor infrastructure upgrade for some multi use government facilities and minimise the carbon output.
Responsibilities:
- Tender review/validation
- Preconstruction stages
- Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client and consultants)
- Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
- Technical submittals
- RFIs – Liaison with client team and sub contractors
- Value Engineering where applicable
- Programming of works
- Health & Safety management (RAMs)
- Commercial Responsibility
- Management of variations
- Team Coordination (overseeing engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
- Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
- Overseeing commissioning stages
- Assisting with coordination and management of M&E subcontractors
The ideal candidate:
- Have 3-5 years’ experience managing multi-disciplined Electrical Services Installations.
- Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of electrical services.
- Experience working in the commercial sector.
