They boast a turnover in the region of £250m in London as well as markets in mainland Europe. Their services encompass system design, installation, testing, maintenance, and energy optimization, helping clients achieve reliable, efficient, and sustainable mechanical and electrical systems.
Salary: Circa £55,000 + Travel + Private healthcare + Pension + Bonus
Project: Major Projects Team (London) - Commercial, Data Centres and Healthcare
The Electrical Testing/Commissioning Engineer is responsible for performing electrical testing, inspection, and troubleshooting for the major projects division. This is the opportunity to work on flagship projects and work for one of the UK’s leading M&E contractors. The engineer will conduct various tests and inspections, interpret results, identify issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. This opportunity will allow Electrical testers to make the next step in their career and will be put through the business’ AP certificate internally.
Role & Responsibilities
- Short term programming.
- Health & Safety (RAMS).
- Preparation/issuing all RFI.
- Issuing permits of works
- QA/QC
- Trouble shooting
- Document test procedures, results and recommendations
- Provide technical support
- Testing and commissioning of equipment
- Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors
- Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client
The ideal candidate
- Must have LV Tickets
- 2391 Testing and Inspecting
- 18th Edition
- Experience working on Data Centre or Critical Environment Projects
- Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in an engineering role
- The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
