Since their formation almost 20 years ago, my client have gone on to become one of the most reproable commercial office fit out M&E contractors in London. They have a reputation for delivering fast pace fit out projects for the likes of ISG, Parkeray, BW Workplace Experts and MACE Interiors. The business has a sensible approach to increasing turnover over the next 5 years with a bullet proof growth plan, sensible investment and repeat business. Following a sustained period of growth over the past three months they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to add to their operations team.
The Electrical Estimator will be client facing and take a hands on approach for all of my clients pipe line of works. They will be responsible for the management of tenders by researching and gathering all relevant information and win work for the company by completing and submitting competitive tenders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To undertake tenders by reviewing and completing the tender forms and ensure they are within the given specifications. Perform evaluation of the tenders and provide the pricing in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining professional working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
- Obtain estimates and prices from sub-contractors and suppliers respectively.
- Prepare and issue of tenders in line with the tender documentations provided.
- Site surveys.
- Editing design drawings.
- Follow up tenders and assist with securing projects.
- Provide leadership for continuously improving the process for estimating.
- To have knowledge and understanding of the health and safety regulations.
Ideal candidate:
- Have 5 years’ experience as an estimator within M&E building services.
- Have good technical knowledge of Electrical building services.
- Experience working in the Office Fit Out sector
- Experience working on projects of circa £1 million within your own discipline
