This May, 26 incredible riders from across the construction industry came together for Construction Giro D’Italia 2025, a five-day charity cycle in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to many of our hearts.
The route began in the city of Venice and concluded at the stunning shores of Lake Como, covering over 400km of Italy’s most picturesque and challenging landscapes. Along the way, riders pedalled past the waters of Lakes Garda, Iseo, and Como - the most unforgettable views.
Each day brought new challenges - from long, steady climbs to iconic routes. The final day saw the team descend into Lake Como, greeted by unforgettable views, sunshine, and cheers of family and friends at the finish line.
As part of our fundraising efforts in the run-up to the event, we hosted a number of charity fundraising events. Our charity bake sale was a success, raising £508.20 through an impressive selection of home-baked goods. We followed this with a charity quiz night, where entry fees, raffle sales, and generous auction contributions helped us raise an outstanding £3,741 – far beyond our expectations.
We’re proud to have partnered with London AC, a leading privately-owned company specialising in the installation and maintenance of air conditioning and ductwork systems. Having played a key role in the success of the Construction Tour Amsterdam, their experience in both cycling and event planning has made them a perfect partner for this year’s ride. It’s been a real pleasure organising this journey together.
This journey would not have been the same without the incredible support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan is a charity that goes above and beyond to support people living with cancer and their loved ones. From practical advice to emotional and financial support, they are there every step of the way to help individuals navigate one of the most challenging times in their lives.
From their fundraising support to the tote bags, branded jerseys, and cheering us on every step of the way, Macmillan’s presence was felt throughout the journey. We're truly grateful for their partnership, and we’re proud to have raised vital funds that will contribute to the life-changing work they do every single day.
We’ve also had the pleasure of working closely with Ella, our Relationship Fundraising Manager at Macmillan, whose enthusiasm, and genuine passion have been a constant source of encouragement.
We can't thank enough to all involved. It's been a true show of team work and support since we started planning this event last September. With a total of £74,323 raised, we could not have gotten this far without our 786 supporters: friends, families, clients, suppliers and colleagues, you really have outdone yourselves.
